Kalinga Foods is the agri-export arm of Palai Global Exports, sourcing premium non-basmati rice directly from certified mills in Balasore, Odisha — one of India's highest-yielding rice-growing regions. The name Kalinga draws from the ancient kingdom of Odisha, a land of resilience, trade, and abundance. We carry that legacy into every shipment.

FAQ

What payment terms do you accept?

100% advance by TT for first orders. After the first successful shipment, we move to 30% advance with 70% payable against a copy of the bill of lading.

Can I get a sample before ordering?

Yes. Rice samples of 500g–1kg per variety are sent by courier at the buyer’s cost. Swarna and IR-64 parboiled samples are usually dispatched within five working days of your request.

What is the minimum order quantity?

One 40 ft FCL — approximately 25 MT. Larger orders across multiple containers are welcome. We work with several certified mills in Odisha and can fulfil high volumes without diluting quality.

How long from order confirmation to shipment?

Typically 10–15 days from order confirmation and receipt of payment. Phytosanitary certification and export documentation are processed in parallel with loading.

Which port do you ship from?

FOB Paradip, Kolkata, or Visakhapatnam — depending on logistics and buyer preference.

What certifications do your shipments carry?

Each shipment includes a phytosanitary certificate, certificate of origin, FSSAI compliance documentation, and a third-party quality inspection report. The full documentation package is provided before vessel departure.

What broken percentage do you guarantee?

Less than 5% broken on both Swarna and IR-64 parboiled, confirmed by a lab test report per lot. Moisture below 14% at loading is guaranteed.

Do you mix varieties or batches in one container?

No. Each container carries one variety and one lot, Sortex sorted for uniform shade. We do not mix batches under any circumstances.
